Former Governor Andrew Cuomo conceded defeat in the New York City Democratic mayoral primary to Zohran Mamdani, as the 33-year-old state Assembly member maintained a significant lead on Tuesday night.
Cuomo’s concession came even as the final outcome remains pending, with the winner set to be determined through a ranked-choice voting process after neither candidate secured an outright majority.
