Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche claimed Sunday on Fox News there’s a “ton of evidence” the 2020 presidential election was rigged against President Donald Trump — without providing a shred of proof.
Speaking with host Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures,” Blanche failed to articulate why the Department of Justice hasn’t released the so-called evidence to the public yet, despite alleging it has existed “for many, many years.”
“What I can tell you is that we have multiple investigations going on in Arizona, in Fulton County, Georgia, and that’s exactly what we’re looking at,” Blanche said.
Taking a jab at the Democratic party, Blanche continued, “This is very difficult because they’re very good at hiding misconduct and hiding what they’re doing. And, so that’s why we’re very focused on finding out whether the right people voted, whether people who were supposed to vote voted, whether there was one vote cast per voter, and that’s what we’re doing in multiple states.”
Blanche’s remarks came after Bartiromo played back a clip of White House chief of staff Susan Wiles claiming at an event on May 7 that Trump, in fact, won many of the states he lost in his defeat to President Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
Blanche went on to address the people who he says have questioned why it’s taking so long for the DOJ to disclose the evidence and make arrests. He then admitted that arrests aren’t absolutely certain.
“It takes a lot of work to uncover what happened in 2020,” he said. “It takes a lot of old, good-old-fashioned law enforcement, police work, which is what we’re doing, and we have great prosecutors working on it as well.”
He added: “I assure the American people that as soon as we have something to say for it, whether it’s charges, whether it’s a report, whether it’s the results of an investigation, the American people will learn about what we uncovered.”
Elsewhere in the interview, when pressed by Bartiromo if there will be a “definitive answer to whether or not the 2020 election was stolen,” Blanche dodged providing any guarantees about that as well.
“I’m not going to promise there’s going to be a definitive answer,” he replied. “That wouldn’t be fair to you or anybody else, but we are looking at it, and we’re hoping to get one.”
