“Request Hon’ble EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar ji to urgently intervene, coordinate with Indian Embassy, and ensure their safe return to India," he added.
He also shared the letter written to Jaishankar.
Meanwhile, the MEA has intensified its monitoring of the ongoing crisis across the Gulf and West Asia.
In an advisory issued on April 23, the government advised Indian citizens against travelling to Iran and urged those currently in the country to leave through designated land border routes.
The embassy also shared these phone numbers: +989128109115; +989128109109; +989128109102; +989932179359 and an email address cons.tehran@mea.gov.in for Indian national trying to connect with the embassy.
Iranian airports have been closed since the outbreak of war with Israel and the United States on February 28.
