A small plane carrying tourists made a crash landing on Monday at the Masai Mara airstrip in Kenya shortly after takeoff.

According to reports, the pilot of Cessna Grand Caravan with registration 5Y-SOP managed to control the crash. This Masai Mara strip is short and in remote area where no rescue operation machines available.

Footage from the witnesses captured passengers panicking after the incident. No injuries or casualties were reported.

Sources said landing hard on the nose usually indicates an abrupt need to control the aircraft down but managing to keep the cabin intact saved lives.

According to reports in local media, Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) stated that the preliminary information has revealed that the aircraft was carrying tourists at the time of the incident, although the exact number of passengers and crew on board has not yet been established.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation. KWS officials said details on the flight, including its origin, destination, and operational classification, remain unclear.

Last year, there was deadly tourist plane crash en route to Maasai Mara that killed 11 people and Potomac mid-air collision plane and helicopter where 67 were killed.
