Donald Trump may have done the Democrats a real solid on Wednesday when he told reporters he loves “the inflation” currently going on in America.
The president addressed the news that inflation hit a 3-year high by interrupting reporters to incorrectly claim that “the numbers were great” before dubiously insisting, “You know what I really love? I love the inflation.”
He then attempted to explain why he loves inflation by going on a tangent where he revealed that the U.S. has been secretly “taking out millions of barrels of oil” from Iran.
Reporter: Are you concerned, Mr. President, about the latest inflation number which came out this morning?

But if Trump expected his statement to ease the hearts and minds of Americans dealing with higher costs for pretty much everything, he was sorely mistaken.
Almost immediately, he was castigated by many prominent critics on social media, many of who suggested Trump had just made a great campaign ad ― for the Dems.
