US President Donald Trump shared a private message from NATO chief, in which Mark Rutte showered him with praise for the recent airstrikes on Iran. The screenshot, posted on Donald Trump’s Truth Social account, began with the words “Dear Donald" and thanked the US President for his “decisive action."
“Congratulations and thank you for your decisive action in Iran, that was truly extraordinary and something no one else dared to do. It makes us all safer," Mark Rutte wrote, referring to the US air campaign that targeted key Iranian nuclear facilities.
He added, “You are flying into another big success in The Hague this evening," referencing the upcoming NATO summit. He also said member states had agreed to raise their defense spending to 5% of GDP, crediting Donald Trump with the breakthrough.
He wrote, “Donald, you have driven us to a really, really important moment… You will achieve something NO American president in decades could get done."
Donald Trump’s Warning To Israel Ahead Of NATO Meet
This comes as Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Israel over the fragile ceasefire with Iran, expressing frustration that Israeli forces launched airstrikes shortly after the agreement was brokered.
Donald Trump said, “I’m not happy with Israel. When I say, ‘Okay, now you have 12 hours,’ you don’t go out in the first hour and drop everything you have." He urged Israel to uphold the ceasefire, cautioning that further violations could jeopardize the truce and broader regional stability.

This year’s summit, running for two days, marks the first attended by US President Donald Trump since the start of his second term.
