Katie Miller, the wife of President Donald Trump’s White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, has described her husband as a “bridezilla” when it came to planning their wedding.
On the latest episode of her podcast, Miller told guest Sage Steele that she had only wanted a small courthouse ceremony with the architect of Trump’s hardline anti-immigration policies.
But her husband pushed for something far, far grander.
“I didn’t want a big wedding. I wanted the courthouse. My husband wanted the big wedding,” she recalled.
“He’s the bridezilla. He’s the bridezilla,” she added.
Miller said she eventually agreed to give her future husband his dream day, but only on her own terms.
“So I said, ‘Fine, I’ll plan your dream wedding, but I’m doing it in three months,’” she explained. “And thank God we did, because we got married like two weeks before COVID happened.”
Miller was serving as press secretary to then-Vice President Mike Pence when the couple tied the knot in February 2020.
Following Trump’s return to office, Katie Miller worked as an adviser in Elon Musk’s unofficial Department of Government Efficiency before moving over to Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI.
