Apple's biggest launch of the year is just months away and the rumor mills have been going abuzz with all the new features that the tech giant is planning to add to its new phones. Ahead of the unveiling of the new iPhones, here's everything we know about the iPhone 18 Pro lineup from expected price to launch date and specs.

iPhone 18 Pro Max expected price:

If the latest leaks are to be believed, Apple is planning to absorb the supply chain shocks rather than passing them on to the buyers. This could make a dent on the company's profits but also allow it to capture a much wider share of the market especially at a time when Android brands are busy hiking prices left, right and center due to the memory chip shortages.

This could mean that the iPhone 18 Pro could begin at the same $1,099 price as last year while the iPhone 17 Pro Max could begin at $1,199.

However, there could still be a hike in the India pricing of the phones as Apple has shown with its iPhone 17e launch that arrived at $599 globally but went up from 59,900 to 64,900.

iPhone 18 Pro Max launch date:

Apple is expected to skip the base iPhone 18 model this year. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to be unveiled by the company at its September launch event alongisde the new iPHone Fold/ Ultra.

However, this event will likely not be chaired by Tim Cook who is all set to hand over the reigns to incoming CEO John Ternus from 1st September.

iPhone 18 Pro Max expected specs:

Display:

Apple is likely to keep the display sizes the same for the iPHone 18 Pro lineup at 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch respectively. However, the biggest visual change to the new iPhones could be in the form of a smaller Dynamic Island which if leaks are to be believed could drop by up to 35% as Apple plans to bring more of Face ID components under the display.

Another big change could be the use of upgraded LTPO+ display technology, which could improve power efficiency and help extend battery life of the new iPhones.

Design and colors:

Recent dummu units of the iPhone 18 Pro lineup had now live which suggests that the iPhone 18 Pro lineup could have almost identical look as its predecessor, albeit with a thicker camera bump:

Apple is rumored to be tsting four new colour variants for the iPhoen 18 Pro lineup: Dark Cherry, blue, dark grey and silver.

The company could also move away from the dual tone design for the back of the iPhones and instead offer a more unified finish between the frame and rear glass.

Cameras:

The iPhone 18 Pro lineup could come with a 48MP triple camera setup on the back. However, the biggest upgrade in this arena could be the use of a variable aperture system for the main camera which could allow users to manually control how much light enters thesensor.

Leaks suggest that this could help improve depth-of-field effects and also help with taking better low light pictures.

Processor:

The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to be the first devices to run on the new A20 Pro chipset based on TSMC's 2nm process. The new chipset is expected to offer 15% faster performance and 30% better power efficiency compared to the A19 series.

Apple is also expected to ditch the Qualcomm modem in favour of its in-house C2 modem. The new modem is expected to bring Faster mmWave 5G support, improved power efficiency and heat reduction. A new report has suggested that Apple could also add support for 5G NR-NTN or “New Radio Non-Terrestrial Networks”, which could allow the iPhone 18 Pro lineup to access full internet connectivity over satellites when mobile network is unavailable.
