Hours before he was killed in a US-Israeli strike, Ali Mohammad Naini, spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), warned of “surprises" for Israel and said Iran’s missile production would continue despite the ongoing war.

Speaking to Iranian media, Naini said Iran’s missile stockpiles were sufficient and the country’s missile industry had reached its highest levels. “Our missile industry deserves a perfect score… and there is no concern in this regard, because even under wartime conditions we continue missile production."

“The missile industry has reached its highest levels. There are surprises coming for the enemy, and as the battles progress, they will become more complex and intense," he added.

He also refuted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s claims that Iran could no longer produce ballistic missiles, saying, “There is no concern… even under wartime conditions we continue missile production."

On Friday, the IRGC confirmed on its website that Naini had been killed in early strikes carried out by the US and Israel. He served as the IRGC’s spokesperson and deputy of public relations.
