US President Donald Trump said that Iran is preparing to present an offer aimed at satisfying Washington’s demands, as efforts intensify to restart stalled negotiations.

“They’re making an offer and we’ll have to see," Trump said in an interview, adding that he does not yet know the specifics of Tehran’s proposal.

The expected offer comes as diplomatic activity picks up, with talks likely to resume in Islamabad, where both sides are exploring ways to revive dialogue after earlier discussions failed to produce a breakthrough.

Trump reiterated that any agreement must meet key US conditions, including Iran relinquishing its enriched uranium stockpiles and ensuring the free flow of oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.

He also suggested uncertainty within Iran’s leadership could affect negotiations, saying US officials are engaging with “the people who are in charge now," without elaborating further.

The potential proposal comes against the backdrop of an ongoing ceasefire and continued US economic pressure, including a naval blockade of Iranian ports that remains in place pending a deal.

While both sides have signalled willingness to negotiate, major differences persist, and it remains unclear whether Iran’s forthcoming offer will be enough to bridge the gap and move talks toward a lasting agreement.

US officials are preparing to send envoys to engage with Iranian representatives, while Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has already arrived in the Pakistani capital for consultations.

During his stay, Araghchi is expected to meet Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir, alongside senior officials, as Pakistan positions itself as a potential mediator in the talks.

The trip follows parallel diplomatic moves by the US, which recently sent special envoys to Islamabad to explore pathways for resuming discussions with Tehran. Officials said the outreach is aimed at breaking the deadlock and facilitating progress in negotiations.

The Iranian minister is also expected to continue his regional tour after Pakistan, with planned visits to Moscow and other capitals as part of ongoing diplomatic coordination.
