ARTICLE AD BOX
Fox News’ Jesse Watters on Monday chimed in on the controversy surrounding actor Sydney Sweeney’s recent American Eagle ad, and offered a surreal, politically themed prediction for how it might all end.
Sweeney and American Eagle have faced backlash over the campaign ― which includes the wordplay on “jeans” and “genes” ― with critics accusing it of glorifying whiteness and evoking eugenics-esque language.
The backlash intensified this week after it was revealed Sweeney is registered as a Republican. President Donald Trump appeared to embrace her political leanings, saying, “Oh, now I love her ad.”
On Fox’s “The Five,” Watters dismissed the criticism and then suggested: “You know how this ends? She is going to marry Barron. And it’s going to create the greatest political dynasty in American history.”
Sweeney, the star of “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus,” is 27.
Barron Trump, the president’s youngest son, is 19 and currently a freshman at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Social media users were creeped out by rules-for-men advocate Watters’ comment:
Now we know who writes all the creepy Barron Trump fanfic.
