Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said India and France continue to share a strong and trusted strategic partnership after he met Emmanuel Bonne, diplomatic adviser to French President Emmanuel Macron, in the national capital

In a post on X, PM Modi said the two sides reaffirmed close cooperation across several areas. He noted that collaboration between the two countries is expanding into innovation, technology and education.

“Delighted to meet Emmanuel Bonne, Diplomatic Advisor to President Macron. Reaffirmed the strong and trusted India–France Strategic Partnership, marked by close cooperation across multiple domains," the Prime Minister wrote, calling the partnership between India and France strong and reliable.

Prime Minister Modi said the discussions were especially significant as both nations mark the India–France Year of Innovation. He added that they also exchanged views on “key regional and global issues" of mutual interest.

PM Modi also said he looks forward to welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron to India soon.
