Tamil Nadu Assembly election: Actor Vijay to be TVK's chief ministerial candidate for 2026 polls

Tamil superstar-turned-politician, actor Vijay, will be the chief ministerial candidate for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election, PTI quoted Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam as declaring it on Friday.

The decision was taken via special resolution which was adopted in the party's executive committee meeting in this regard, added the report.
