Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) attempted to piggyback on that viral Coldplay concert kiss cam moment — but was met with instant mockery online.
Mace posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) of the embrace between now-former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company’s chief people officer, Kristin Cabot, who is not his wife.
The lawmaker tried to turn it into some kind of pro-Donald Trump message with Byron labeled as “Trump’s Economy” and Cabot as “American Born Workers.”
“Employment among American-born workers is up nearly 2M jobs since January. Thank you @POTUS,” she wrote.
But critics immediately pointed out the flaw with Mace’s post.
Namely, that in the footage that aired on the Jumbotron at Massachusetts’ Gillette Stadium, the couple awkwardly pulled away and scrambled to hide their faces.
“You know that everything falls apart like 2 seconds after this frame right?” noted political commentator Brian Tyler Cohen.
“Uhhh, what?” asked journalist Eric Michael Garcia.
“Does she not know what happens two seconds after this?” another user chimed in. “It’s true; Trump is screwing American workers when he’s not supposed to be,” one commenter quipped. “The complete misuse and misunderstanding of the most viral current event really tells you all you need to know,” added another.
I don’t think this “memes” what you think it “memes”…

— Scrumbled Eggs 🇵🇸 (@scrumble_eggs) July 19, 2025I think you're saying Trump's economy is secretly screwing American born workers, and everyone involved is going to lose their jobs

So, Americans are in an adulterous relationship with Trump?
