‘Unacceptable In Any Manner’: PM Modi Condemns Attacks On UAE During US-Iran War

PM Modi said that India “stands shoulder to shoulder with the UAE” and will continue to support the country in the future.  

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday condemned the Iranian attacks on the United Arab Emirates during the war between the United States and Iran.

Prime Minister Modi is currently in the United Arab Emirates on the first leg of his five-nation diplomatic tour, which will also take him to the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy.

During his talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, PM Modi condemned the attacks and said, “The way the UAE was targeted is unacceptable in any manner," said the prime minister.

The prime minister also expressed gratitude to the UAE president for taking care of Indians living in the country during the attacks.

“You showed remarkable patience in these difficult circumstances. During the tough times, you took care of the Indians living in the UAE as if they were your own family. I am grateful to you," said PM Modi.

‘India Stands Shoulder To Shoulder With UAE’

The prime minister also expressed his happiness at meeting the UAE president and said that both leaders have been talking over the phone regularly.

“I am grateful to you. For the past some time, we had been talking over the phone regularly, but I was eager to meet you in person. I am very happy to meet you," said PM Modi.

PM Modi said that India “stands shoulder to shoulder with the UAE" and will continue to support the country in the future.

“India stands shoulder to shoulder with the UAE and will continue to stand with it in the future as well. I wholeheartedly congratulate you on taking our partnership to new heights," said the prime minister.
