Laos Cave Rescue: Rescuers pulled four more people from a flooded cave in central Laos, a day after another trapped man was brought to safety, leaving two people still missing after more than a week underground. The rescued individuals were among seven Lao nationals who had entered the cave in Xaisomboun province to search for gold but became trapped when rising floodwaters blocked their exit.
Thai volunteer cave diver Kengkard Bongkawong, who is involved in the rescue operation, said in a Facebook post that all four survivors were successfully brought out of the cave on Saturday.
Video shared by rescue volunteers showed the men emerging from the cave wearing muddy clothes and headlamps. Some appeared emotional, with rescuers reporting scenes of relief and celebration after the difficult operation.

The five survivors were located by rescue teams on Wednesday but remained trapped for several days as crews worked to navigate challenging conditions inside the flooded cave.
Rescue officials said efforts would continue to locate the two remaining missing individuals.
The operation has drawn support from an international team of cave rescue specialists. Volunteers from neighboring Thailand joined the mission last Sunday, while additional divers from Finland, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and Australia have since arrived to assist.
Several members of the rescue team were involved in the high-profile 2018 operation to save a youth soccer team trapped in the flooded Tham Luang cave in northern Thailand, a mission that captured global attention.
Authorities have not provided details on the condition of the rescued men, but the successful extraction marks a major breakthrough in the ongoing search and rescue effort.
