White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has welcomed her second child, a baby girl named Viviana, sharing the news with followers on social media alongside a photo of herself holding the newborn.

“She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister. We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble," Leavitt wrote.

On May 1st, Viviana aka “Vivi" joined our family, and our hearts instantly exploded with love. 💕She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister. We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble.

She also thanked supporters for their prayers during her pregnancy.

Meet Her First Child, ‘Niko’

Before Viviana’s arrival, Leavitt and her husband Nicholas Riccio were parents to a son, Nicholas Robert Riccio, affectionately known as “Niko".

Niko was born on July 10, 2024, just days before the assassination attempt on US President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania.

At the time, Leavitt was serving as a senior spokesperson for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and said she ended her maternity leave early after the shooting.

“I looked at my husband and said, ‘Looks like I’m going back to work,’" she later recalled in an interview.

Leavitt has since spoken openly about the challenges of balancing motherhood with a demanding political career.

“I think every working mother understands the demands," she said in a 2025 interview, adding that she tries to spend as much time as possible with her son outside work hours.

She has also frequently shared photos of Niko accompanying her around the White House and the Oval Office.

Who Is Karoline Leavitt’s Husband?

Leavitt met Riccio in 2022 during her congressional campaign in New Hampshire.

According to Leavitt, the two first met through a mutual friend at an event hosted at a restaurant owned by Riccio.

Riccio, now 60, built a successful real estate business after studying the field following college. Through his company, Riccio Enterprises, he owns multiple properties in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.

The couple got engaged in December 2023 and married in January 2025.

Leavitt’s growing family has drawn increasing public attention as she continues to serve as one of the most prominent faces of the Trump administration.
