An Indian man living in Canada has triggered a discussion online after revealing how much a tree-cutting worker charged him for just an hour of work. The man, Vishal, shared a video on Instagram saying that skilled labour jobs in Canada can pay extremely well if a person has the right experience, equipment, and knowledge.
In the video, Vishal spoke about a worker who came to trim tree branches outside his house. He claimed the worker earned $700 (about Rs 49,000) from the one-hour job.
‘This Guy Earned $700 From Me In One Hour’
“Who says there is no money in Canada? This guy earned $700 from me in just one hour, just by cutting tree branches. Now, I’m not saying this job is minor or easy," Vishal said.
The clip showed workers trimming large branches using machines and professional tools. A truck and wood-cutting equipment could also be seen parked outside the house.
Vishal explained that the worker stays busy throughout the year by doing different seasonal jobs. “And this guy is busy every single day in the summer; he is booked every day. And in the winters, he cleans snow. When I calculated how much money this guy is making in a month, it blew my mind," he added.
He further said that jobs like tree cutting, lawn mowing, and snow cleaning require more than physical labour. “The thing to consider is that this work requires a lot of equipment. More than hard work, it requires skill. If you know this work, then brother, you can become rich," he said.
Vishal also encouraged people not to underestimate skilled labour jobs in countries like Canada. “So, if you think you can’t earn money in Canada, then look at the salary of a grass cutter, a snow cleaner, or a tree cutter, look at how much money they make," he added.
The video was posted with the caption, “He earns so much in Canada, it will blow your mind."
Internet Reacts To The Video
The clip soon grabbed attention online, with many users discussing how blue-collar jobs are valued abroad.
A user wrote, “This is the reality of Canada. Skills matter more than degrees in many fields." Another said, “People underestimate blue collar jobs, but these workers earn really well."
Some users reacted jokingly to the amount mentioned in the video. “Tu khud kaat letaa bhai yeh to," a person commented. Another wrote, “Aap bhi vahi kar lo jyada Paisa milenge."
Others pointed out that such businesses also come with expenses. “It’s not just profit, tool rental expenses, employee’s salary, truck gas many other things," a user said. Someone else commented, “Who’s gonna pay the tax."
