Trump’s delegation included major US executives such as Elon Musk, Tim Cook and Jensen Huang- figures who dominate sectors ranging from electric vehicles and smartphones to advanced semiconductors and AI computing. But Xi Jinping’s “squad" at the Beijing summit reflected a different kind of power: less about individual global celebrity and more about structural control over manufacturing, platforms and industrial systems.

Lei Jun- Xiaomi
Founder of Xiaomi, Lei Jun built one of China’s most globally recognisable tech brands by scaling affordable, high-performance smartphones into a worldwide ecosystem of smart devices. Today, Xiaomi is aggressively expanding into electric vehicles and AI-driven consumer technology, positioning itself at the intersection of mobility and digital life.

Zhou Qunfei- Lens Technology
Zhou Qunfei, founder of Lens Technology, is a self-made entrepreneur and a key figure in global electronics manufacturing. Her company produces precision glass used in smartphones, tablets and wearable devices, making it a critical upstream supplier for many of the world’s biggest tech brands.
Cao Hui- Huyao Glass
