US Iran war LIVE Updates: US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he has ordered the military to “shoot and kill” small Iranian boats deploying mines in the Strait of Hormuz, a move announced after Iran demonstrated its ability to disrupt shipping in the vital channel.

Trump said, “I have ordered the United States Navy to shoot and kill any boat, small boats though they may be ... putting mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump posted, adding that U.S. minesweepers "are clearing the Strait right now.” “I am hereby ordering that activity to continue, but at a tripled up level!” he added.
  2. A member of Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Mahmoud Nabavian, has said that the negotiation talks held with the US in Pakistan was a mistake. Nabavian posted a snippet of his interview to SNN TV, where he noted that discussing its nuclear issue in Pakistan was a ‘strategic mistake’. In a post on X, he said, “Putting the nuclear issue on the negotiation table in Pakistan was a strategic mistake.”
  3. The price of Brent crude for June delivery climbed 3.1% to settle at $105.07 per barrel and briefly surpassed $107. That spike coincided with a sharp drop in stocks, with the S&P 500 falling as much as 1.3% before quickly recovering about half of its losses, AP reported.
  4. Meanwhile, the more actively traded July contract for Brent crude settled at $99.35 per barrel after earlier rising to as high as $101.

US President Donald Trump has ordered the U.S. military to "shoot and kill" Iranian small boats choking the Strait of Hormuz.

In a social media post, Trump also said that the US has total control over the Strait of Hormuz, and no ship can enter or leave without its approval. "It is "Sealed up Tight," until such time as Iran is able to make a DEAL," he said.

His comments came a day after the Revolutionary Guards intercepted and transferred two vessels to Iranian territorial waters for inspection of their cargo, documents, and related records.

"I have ordered the United States Navy to shoot and kill any boat, small boats though they may be... that is putting mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. There is to be no hesitation," he said.
